We are seeking to add to our entrepreneurial and dynamic culture with a Chief Product & Innovation Officer (CPIO) leading the Product Marketing and Customer Experience team.
Position Description:
The Chief Product and Innovation Officer (CPIO) plays a critical executive role in shaping the future of the company's strategy and is responsible for leading the product vision, market positioning, and commercialization across Blueair’s portfolio of award-winning air care products.
Reporting to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team, the CPIO will translate the company vision into a multi-year product roadmap and build the product organization that turns strategy into revenue. The role partners closely with our CEO, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Operations and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the product vision and multi-year roadmap, translating company strategy into innovation bets, white-space expansions, and investment priorities.
Act as a key leader in driving organizational alignment, investment phasing to deliver long term commercial goal.
Lead innovation prioritization and improve cross-functional efficiency by fostering strong team collaboration and process improvement to accelerate speed-to-market.
Drive portfolio design, competitive positioning, and marketing strategy based on target segments, user insights, and wellness trends.
Own product P&L across the portfolio. Build a premium pricing architecture and mix management to expand gross margin.
Drive integrated business planning by aligning the organization to the 8Q roadmap and managing lifecycle transitions.
Align annual targets with the CEO and lead integrated business alignment with GLTs (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations) for innovation launches and regional channel plans.
Partner with the CTO on technology roadmap, platform investments, and resourcing trade-offs.
Define and own commercial success metrics for innovation and help the team prioritize action plans based on post-launch evaluations.
Own legal claims and trademarking strategy with legal partners.
Lead product communication strategy in partnership with the CMO. Define the product narrative and messaging that support our brand positioning.
Partner with the CCO to align on channel strategy, sales enablement, and strategic account T2T engagement.
Lead and manage our Customer Experience team to champion the voice of the customer at the executive table. Translate consumer feedback and insights into actionable product decisions and improvements.
Mentor a team of product marketers. Foster a culture of consumer obsession, sharp positioning, commercial rigor, and high craft.
Required Qualifications:
15+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience, with 5+ years in a senior product leadership role (VP Product, CPO, CPIO, or equivalent).
Strong commercial instincts with a proven track record of positioning and commercializing durable products at a global scale. Experience with consumer durables and smart home appliances preferred.
Hands-on experience across the consumer durable product lifecycle. A background that combines deep product management expertise with strong product marketing or commercial leadership.
Experience building and coaching product marketing organizations of 10+ people.
Demonstrated ability to operate at the executive level — board communication, customer engagement, press/analyst relations, and cross-functional executive partnership.
International experience, especially across North America, EMEA, and APAC go-to-market regions.
Pay: The expected total cash compensation ranges between $250,000-$400,000 annually. Blueair takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
