Position Description
The Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) is responsible for leading Blueair’s global supply chain operations, including demand planning, supply planning, logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management, and sales & operations planning (S&OP). This executive role owns the strategy and execution required to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time across our DTC, Amazon, and omnichannel retail markets worldwide, utilizing both direct distribution and distributor partners.
This is a global leadership position that oversees a team of 11, including direct reports in Chicago, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. This role also works closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Customer Experience, and our global leadership team to align our operations against our commercial objectives. The CSCO will also manage strategic relationships with external 3PLs, freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure scalable, efficient, and high-performing operations.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and operationally rigorous leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. They are comfortable navigating complexity, building scalable systems, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and leading through periods of growth and change.
Responsibilities & Functions:
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Co-lead the global S&OP process with our CFO and establish clear planning strategies to guide forecasting, inventory management, and operational decision-making
Continuously improve our demand planning capabilities to provide accurate, data-driven forecasts across channels and geographies
Translate demand plans into actionable supply and inventory plans that balance service levels, inventory risk, and operational efficiency
Partner closely with commercial, finance, and procurement teams to align operational planning with business objectives
Inventory Management & Supply Planning
Own global inventory positioning across all channels, fulfillment centers, and markets
Develop inventory policies by channel and SKU to minimize excess and obsolete inventory while preventing stockouts
Monitor inventory health, forecast accuracy, and operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement
Provide decision-support analysis and operational insights to leadership teams
Logistics, Warehousing & Fulfillment
Lead global logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment operations across DTC, Amazon, and omnichannel retail
Build and manage strategic relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse partners
Manage ongoing transition to new warehouse for North America
Develop and execute short- and long-term warehousing and fulfillment strategies, including ongoing optimization of the fulfillment network
Ensure operational excellence for innovation launches and key business initiatives
Ensure logistics and fulfillment partners deliver against performance expectations, continuous improvement goals, and sustainability initiatives
Supply Chain Technology & Operational Excellence
Build and improve systems, tools, SOPs, and reporting capabilities to create end-to-end supply chain visibility
Lead operational excellence initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, service improvement, and cost optimization
Manage the operations budget including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost improvement initiatives
Ensure SOPs are documented, maintained, and continuously improved across core operational processes
Risk Management & Leadership
Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks related to inventory exposure, logistics disruptions, tariff volatility, and fulfillment capacity constraints
Develop contingency and business continuity plans to support operational resilience
Serve as a clear and credible voice in cross-functional planning conversations, helping the business understand operational trade-offs and opportunities
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operations and supply chain teams capable of scaling with the business
Support additional strategic projects necessary to aid in the growth of Blueair’s operations
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred
10-15+ years of supply chain experience, including demand planning, supply planning, logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment operations
5+ years in a senior leadership role with ownership of global supply chain functions
Deep expertise in forecasting methodologies, S&OP processes, inventory optimization, and multi-channel supply chain operations
Proven experience supporting DTC, Amazon, Costco, Target, and omnichannel retail environments
Extensive experience managing global logistics networks, including inbound freight, customs, 3PL partnerships, and warehouse operations
4+ years managing and developing direct reports and operational teams, preferably international
Experience with NetSuite and forecasting tools preferred
Pay: The expected total cash compensation ranges between $250,000-$400,000 annually. Blueair takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
