Logistics Manager, 3PL Operations & Process Optimization

Position Description
The Logistics Manager will own day-to-day execution and performance of Blueair’s North America 3PL operations, with accountability for order accuracy, inventory integrity, and service performance.
Core responsibilities include order processing, return processing, inventory reconciliation, and scrap reporting to ensure accurate, efficient, and reliable execution.
In addition, this role will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing 3PL KPIs, driving process improvements in partnership with the 3PL, and supporting Finance in quantifying the impact of operational improvements. This role expands beyond transactional execution to include performance management, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across logistics operations.
We believe that we’re better together. Our team is hybrid and requires applicants for this role to live commuting distance from our Chicago office and be in-office Tuesday-Thursday. Applicants must currently reside in Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin.

Responsibilities and Functions
3PL Operations Management
Own day-to-day operations with North America 3PL partner
Manage and oversee:
Order processing and fulfillment execution
Return processing and disposition workflows
Inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
Scrap tracking, reporting, and root cause identification
Act as primary point of contact for operational issue resolution and escalation with 3PL
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and service levels across all 3PL activities
3PL Performance Management & KPI Enforcement
Track and monitor 3PL performance against defined KPIs and SLAs
Identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions with 3PL partner
Support preparation of performance reviews and ongoing operational reporting
Ensure consistent execution and adherence to agreed service standards
Order Processing & Workflow Optimization
Own end-to-end order processing across all customers and channels
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customer counterparts, ensuring alignment on execution and issue resolution
Standardize order management workflows across systems and customers
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors, cycle time, and manual effort
Track and reduce customer chargebacks through root cause analysis and process improvement
Process Improvement & Continuous Optimization
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency across 3PL workflows
Drive implementation of process improvements in partnership with 3PL and internal stakeholders
Standardize processes and improve consistency across operations
Support broader logistics and network improvement initiatives as needed
Cost Visibility & Financial Partnership
Perform monthly 3PL invoice review and validation against contractual terms and actual activity
Identify billing discrepancies and support resolution with 3PL partners
Partner with Finance to quantify and validate the impact of process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Provide operational inputs to support financial reporting and analysis
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Haves
4–8 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations
Hands-on experience managing 3PL operations and order management processes
Experience managing Amazon 1P orders
Strong analytical capability (advanced Excel required)
Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiency
Experience managing customer-facing operational workflows (order management, issue resolution, chargebacks)
Comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with continuous improvement initiatives
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice-to-Haves
NetSuite experience preferred
Vendor Central experience preferred
Pay: The base salary pay range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. Blueair takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
