Junior Retail Account Manager

Position Description:
The Jr. Account Manager will drive aggressive growth both online and offline. Working with Blueair’s top retail and alternate channel partners, you will develop and execute aggressive sales and activation plans driving Blueair’s 4 year market share gain initiative. You will build partnerships directly with key stakeholders to define assortment and channel strategies, explore new business opportunities and drive profitability. This role will collaborate closely with Operations, Finance and Marketing.
We believe that we’re better together. Our team is hybrid and requires applicants to live commuting distance from a Blueair office (NYC or Chicago Loop) and be in-office Tuesday-Thursday. However, only applicants based in the greater Minneapolis area will be considered for this role as a remotely.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for Target, Best Buy, and Canadian Tire, managing merchant, planning, and supply chain relationships.
- Develop and execute sales growth strategies, including assortment planning, pricing, promotional programs, and merchandising initiatives.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory alignment.
- Monitor and analyze sales, POS data, and market trends to optimize performance and identify opportunities.
- Lead annual and quarterly business reviews with retailers, presenting data-driven recommendations and results.
- Collaborate with Finance to reconcile sales, manage deductions, and track account profitability.
- Work with Marketing to design and implement retailer-specific activations and campaigns that drive sell-through.
- Proactively address operational issues such as chargebacks, compliance errors, and delivery delays, ensuring resolution to maintain retailer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present insights for monthly S&OP meetings to align internal teams on account performance and needs.
- Jump in and help wherever you’re needed - we’re a collaborative team, and sometimes that means pitching in on projects outside your usual scope.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in consumer goods account management or retail sales, with proven success managing large national retail accounts.
- Experience working directly with Target, Best Buy, and/or Canadian Tire preferred, including familiarity with vendor portals, compliance requirements, and promotional planning cycles.
- Strong understanding of retail math, POS data analysis, and sell-through reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong PowerPoint skills for data storytelling and presentations.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with some of North America’s largest retailers, experience representing brands at these retailers (with a preference for hardline goods), and a proven track record in forming and executing sell-through and promotional plans. Pay: The base salary pay range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 per year. Blueair takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
